QRP Academy? Yes. QRP Academy. This is a blog devoted to learning about amateur radio, with a particular emphasis on operating with low power, or QRP, including portable and mobile operation. It’s aimed at newcomers, either newcomers to amateur radio itself, or to those who have never tried operating with low power, but it’s hoped there will be something of interest to even seasoned hams. In addition to practical tips, there will be field reports, and technical subjects, with a ‘from first principles’ approach, whether that be understanding the underpinning science of antenna designs, some basic electronics, or propogation.
